(VINYL vs CD) Judy Garland Live at Carnegie Hall

(VINYL vs CD) Judy Garland Live at Carnegie Hall

Stars: FIVE for Vinyl FOUR for CD
Should You Listen To This: Yes!! Definitely!!
Review:
If you have never listened to Judy Garland, I highly recommend this album! It was the biggest of her career, spending 95 weeks in Billboard's chart (13 of them at #1). It was certified Gold within a year. It also won four Grammy's including album of the year (first live album to win) and best solo vocal performance by a female. If you are lucky enough to have a turntable/stereo like me then I recommend that you get the vinyl. It really does have a much better feeling/sound to it. If you must, get the CD as well, like me. I have both, first the vinyl for when I'm at home and the CD for when I'm in the car. Listening to my old vinyl of it just makes you feel as if you're really there and it sounds good. With the CD it's good but not as good, the band also doesn't sound as good for some reason. Overall I love it and it's a great album to have! Especially if you (like me) like to belt the songs out with Judy and tap dance to The Trolley Song. I am guilty of doing both. Below is a list of my favourite songs on the album:

1) Come Rain or Come Shine

2) The Trolley Song

3) Zing! Went The Strings of My Heart

4) When You're Smiling

5) Almost Like Being in Love/This Can't Be Love

6) You Go to My Head

7) You Made Me Love You

8) Puttin' on the Ritz

9) Just You, Just Me

10) That's Entertainment!

11) Who Cares?

(FILM) Zombieland (2009)

Summary:
A shy student trying to reach his family in Ohio, a gun-toting tough guy trying to find the last Twinkie, and a pair of sisters trying to get to an amusement park join forces to travel across a zombie-filled America.

Date Reviewed: 6/23/15
Stars: FIVE
Should You Watch This: Yes!
Review:
This should be hailed as the best and greatest zombie film in history with Warm Bodies as a close second. Why, oh, why did it take me so long to watch this!? Before you sit down to watch it, make sure you get some Twinkies and Snowballs because by the end you'll want to try one. First off, the casting was perfect and on Pointe - Jesse Eisenburg and Woody Harrelson do a super job. The score was different and well done which I liked since I always find myself listening to the score/soundtrack. I don't usually watch zombie films and I'm not a huge fan but I loved Warm Bodies and then I saw this and...I loved it! Before you go off thinking this is some gross gory human eating affair, let me tell you - this is a comedy! There is some gore and blood and human eating but the comedy makes it sort of seem less gory in a way. If you've never seen a zombie film before, this is a great place to start. Go see it, you can thank me later!!

(September) GLOSSYBOX

So, finally, here is my review for the September 2015 Glossybox! Remember, all the items are listed in order from my absolute favourites to things I didn't like as much. First of all, I must say, I loved this box! This is the first box where I've actually liked everything and tried everything!

1) Julep Luxe Lip in Sheer Coral
I absolutely adored this product! It's the best lip gloss ever! I have also tried the Sheer Fig colour and I must say, the colours really are so sheer that you hardly see the colour, just the sheen of it. The normal price is $24 for .42 oz. Would I buy this? Yes!

2) Emite Makeup Artist Colour Powder Blush 108
I loved this blush  but you really have to use just a tiny bit since it's highly pigmented. I also love that about it because it makes it last longer not only by using less but it also lasts for a long time on your face. The colour is such a nice blendable colour which is hard to find for my skin tone so it looks lovely! The normal price is $22 for .35 oz. Would I buy this? Definitely! It's a bargain for how long it lasts plus the quality.

3)  Nails Inc Nail Polish in Uptown
The last time I got a nail polish in my Glossybox I hated the colour and it was so off based on my beauty preferences which they have this one however was spot on! I love nudes, dark blues and reds so this one was perfect! It lasted a long while and looked really nice on my nails. The normal price is $14 for .47 oz. Would I buy this? Yes! Even though I have a lot of nail polishes I would totally buy this!
4) Biossance The Revitalizer
I usually don't like face oils but this one I liked. You can also use it on your body and your hair. The normal price is $58 for 1.7 oz. Would I buy this? No. I didn't love it enough to want to pay $58.
5) Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara
Okay...I got this in last months box so I really didn't like getting it again even thought I do like it. To see my review check here: http://sophiatallon.blogspot.com/2015/09/august-glossybox-vs-birchbox.html
